Dual enrollment programs can be a huge benefit to high school students. They allow students to take free college courses and receive both high school and college credit—saving them both time and money when it comes to completing a college degree.
But in Vermont, not all students are welcome to participate in the state’s dual enrollment program. The State excludes students who attend private religious schools while allowing all other students to participate.
That’s why, with the help of ADF, some families decided to take action and file a lawsuit against the State over this blatant discrimination.
Now, thanks to a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, our clients will have one less thing to worry about when it’s time to head back to school… |
