Hey John,
One of the many things I love about Delaware is just how much natural beauty we have right here in our own backyard!
From walks along Brandywine Creek State Park, to the incredible gardens at Mount Cuba Center, to the history and open space preserved through First State National Historical Park, our district is filled with places that remind us how lucky we are to live here in Delaware.
This time of year is one of the best opportunities to get outside and reconnect with nature and community. Our parks, waterways, and natural resources are a big boost to quality of life here, which is why I've advocated and secured key capital and community investments to support our district. I will continue to ensure our community's needs are heard in our halls of power.
But take note! We are expecting a heavy tick season, so please take precautions while enjoying the outdoors: Delaware Tick Safety Resources ([link removed]) . Wear appropriate clothing, use repellent, and check carefully after any time spent in wooded areas.
I hope you too are able to spend some time with family in our beautiful outdoor spaces.
Best,
Krista
