John,
This afternoon, the Supreme Court tragically moved to grant the abortion pill manufacturers’ emergency appeal, keeping the Fifth Circuit Court’s order that would have STOPPED abortion pills from being distributed by mail from taking effect.
This is a deeply disappointing decision from our nation’s highest court.
As Louisiana’s case continues before the Fifth Circuit Court, hundreds of thousands of preborn babies will lose their lives because the Supreme Court failed to rule on the side of life.
The abortion pill currently accounts for 65% of all abortions in the United States. That’s over 2,000 innocent preborn human beings murdered with these deadly drugs every day.
This means countless women will continue to be put in harm’s way from complications like sepsis, hemorrhaging, and undetected ectopic pregnancy.
Evil husbands, boyfriends, and traffickers will continue to have easy access to these pills in order to coerce or force abortions.
And pro-life states like Louisiana that are working to protect preborn babies within their borders will remain powerless to stop the illegal flow of abortion pills into their states.
Despite this tragic setback, we must continue to fight on!
The Trump Administration has the power to stop this wave of death. The Comstock Act already prohibits mailing abortion drugs, and it must be enforced. No abortion business has a right to ship death through the mail, and no state should be forced to watch its pro-life laws nullified by out-of-state abortionists.
Just two days ago, it was announced that FDA Commissioner Marty Makary was resigning his position and being replaced by Kyle Diamantas. I spoke with Acting Commissioner Diamantas personally yesterday, and he assured me of not only his sincerely held pro-life convictions but also his commitment to making the FDA’s review of the abortion pill a top priority.
The FDA must immediately pull mifepristone from the market and stop allowing pills that kill children and harm women to be mailed across America.
Now is not the moment to shrink back or to sit idly by. Now is the moment to pray, to act, and to make our voices heard more loudly and clearly than ever before.
Here are three important steps I’m asking you to take right now.
First, go to liveaction.org/abortion-pill-ban-2026 ([link removed] ) and send an email to FDA Commissioner Kyle Diamantas, telling him that it is time for the FDA to act on behalf of preborn children and ban the abortion pill.
Then, visit abortionpillkills.com ([link removed] ) and get educated about the abortion pill — how it works, its history, its dangers, and the lifesaving hope of Abortion Pill Reversal.
And finally, please pray. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Our battle against abortion is truly a spiritual one, and we must fight it that way. So, pray for the leadership of the FDA and HHS, that they would act with courage and integrity to defend life.
Pray for wisdom for the attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom who are representing Louisiana in its case and for the Fifth Circuit Court judges who will be ruling on it.
Pray for the end of abortion and an awakening to the true value and sanctity of every human life.
Please forward this email to your friends, family, church, and fellow community members who share your concern for life and ask them to join you in taking these steps as well.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us in defense of the most vulnerable.
For Life,
Lila Rose
Founder and President
