Team, today kicks off the Democratic National Convention.

This week, our entire party is coming together to unite behind Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. It’s an important moment that will showcase why they’re the leaders who can bring our country together and tackle the unprecedented challenges we face.

Many of you have asked what I’ll be doing this week to support the nominees and the Democratic Party. The answer is: everything I can.

Join me in helping to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and help me send the message that our party’s future will be shaped by progressives, by Texans, and by communities of color.

This election is too important to sit out. So while I won’t be addressing the convention this year, I’m excited to speak to fired up Democrats in delegation meetings and caucus meetings throughout the week.

Together, we can elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as well as local candidates across the country who will stand up against the status quo and fight for the people. But that won’t happen on its own — we need to put in the work to make a better future a reality.
