Trump likes to call me "that woman from Michigan," and around here I'm sometimes known as the "fix the damn roads lady" -- but I'm coming to you today as a fellow American with a very important question.

In five words, he completely wrote off over 160,000 families who have lost loved ones to this pandemic. Those families deserve better. We, the people, deserve better from our president.

COVID-19 isn't going anywhere soon, and we need to elect a president who takes this pandemic seriously -- someone who will listen to scientists and take immediate action to help see Americans through this difficult time.

We need to elect Joe Biden. And the only way to do that is by coming together and doing the hard work it's going to take to reach voters in every corner of this country before Election Day.

I know Joe Biden will get to work for us on day one because he and President Obama did just that back in 2009 when they brought back our auto industry from the brink of collapse.

Joe Biden has a plan to meet the challenges we're facing as a country and not only build us back to where we used to be but build us back better.

And I know he'll get it done because he's chosen one heck of a running mate to join him in this fight.

Kamala Harris has years of experience serving her people as Attorney General of California and in the Senate since 2017. She is an advocate for change, and I know she will do a great job as our Vice President.

But there's one more piece to this puzzle -- us.

We know that winning this election isn't going to be easy, and Donald Trump is going to do everything in his power to stop us. So Joe and Kamala need us -- all of us -- to step up and have their backs as they go into the final phase of this race.
