Hi Friend,

Tonight is the start of the Democratic National Convention, which the mainstream media and left are touting as “historic,” due to Senator Kamala Harris, a female, being at the top of the Democratic ticket.

While we applaud Joe Biden having a female as his running mate, we fundamentally disagree that women can only get ahead by just checking a box.

IWF Senior Fellow Karin Lips said it best, "Women achieve equality in life and in politics when they succeed based on merit, not because a man decides that a woman should have a job."

Tomorrow we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, which gave women greater freedom, equality, and opportunity.

It’s been 100 years since women won the right to vote, and women are better off now than we’ve ever been.

Just take a look at some of these stats:
In the coming days and weeks, you’re going to hear a lot from the Biden campaign, leftist groups, and mainstream media that women “have never had a fair shot to get ahead in this country.”

We fundamentally disagree, and the facts and stats prove otherwise.

Women hold more jobs than men in the U.S. workforce, women make up 56 percent of college students, and women’s wages are growing faster than wages of men.

We don’t believe that women are underdogs, and we certainly don’t subscribe to this victimhood narrative that the MSM and left keep touting.

That isn’t how women get ahead in this country and in this world. That only suppresses us and limits our power to get ahead on our own merits… and on our own terms.

Independent Women’s Forum and Voice believe in empowering, championing, and inspiring women to believe that they can do anything they set their mind to… and that they can achieve their vision of the American Dream.

Women have made significant progress in the last 100 years, and we look forward to carrying the torch and helping the next generation of women achieve so much more in the next 100 years.

Join us in celebrating the centennial of women’s suffrage by checking out and sharing these stats.

Thanks,

Tammy Bruce

P.S. If you agree with us, chip in to support our efforts. We have a lot of fake news to counter and work to do to protect women’s independence for the next 100 years and more.
