Voters have ballots in-hand. Let's get out the vote!
John,
Even after Trump’s Supreme Court weakened protections for fair representation in states like Virginia and gutted the Voting Rights Act, California is continuing the fight to protect democracy and expand Democratic representation at home.
We know what's at stake with this year's elections, and CADEM's Voter Protection Team—the oldest and most robust voter protection program in the country—is key to ensuring voters have the access, information and confidence they need to cast their ballot and make their voice heard.
With the June 2 Primary Election less than 3 weeks away, it's critical that we stay in the fight to flip seats so that we can take back the House and protect our democracy. Join us to get out the vote THIS Saturday on our Statewide Day of Action!
California voters have ballots in-hand, which means every day between now and June 2 is Election Day! Check out CADEM's online endorsement tool to find endorsed Democrats where you live, and visit our Voter Information page to find all the resources you need to vote. Here are important dates voters should know:
May 26: Recommended vote-by-mail return date to ensure your ballot is postmarked by Election Day
June 2:ELECTION DAY! Ballots must be postmarked by this date or dropped off by 8PM when polls close.
On Tuesday this week, we kicked off our first Spanish language phonebank of the year! Led by our California Latino Coalition, volunteers are calling Spanish-speaking voters every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 PM in target Congressional districts to talk about the issues they care about and encourage them to make a plan to vote. Do you speak Spanish? Invite a friend and join next Tuesday's phonebank to help us Take Back the House!
At this week's Rural Coalition meeting, we reviewed a recent presentation from Rural Urban Bridge Initiative, discussed the importance of direct voter contact and set a goal to complete 40 phonebank shifts as a coalition by the end of the month. The Rural Coalition will also be participating in this Saturday's Statewide Day of Action, and will meet again next Thursday, May 21. Anyone living in a rural part of the state is welcome to join the coalition!
CADEM’s Organizing Committee met last week to prepare as we ramp up our Get Out the Vote efforts across the state. California voters have their ballots in-hand, and we're doing all we can to ensure every eligible voter makes their voice heard on June 2 Election Day.
Join our free, online monthly organizing training series to learn the latest tools and strategies needed to flip seats and take back the House. Next Tuesday's (5/19) training will be all about voter protection and voter resources, don't miss it!
Looking for a way to get involved in defending our democracy and cutting Donald Trump's term in half? Join our volunteer intro call to find out how you can get involved!
Join our Statewide Day of Action THIS Saturday, May 16 and be part of the team fighting forward for a better future for all Californians. Whether you’re on the phones or knocking on doors—every conversation with voters counts!
Join us every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 PM as we call Spanish-speaking voters in our targeted Congressional districts to talk about the issues that matter most to them!
Every Monday, we call voters to help build up our volunteer base needed to take back the House! Every volunteer we recruit and every conversation we have with voters between now and Election Day matters—join us!
Every conversation we have with voters between now and June 2 makes a difference. You could be the reason someone votes in this critical election! Thanks for being in this fight, we'll see you in the field.
