Friend — Terri here.

Short one today. Just a list of what Texas Democrats have been doing while the Secretary of State (SOS) figured out its own job:
* Manually correcting voter records so candidates and voters have accurate data for the May 26 runoffs
*
* Building our own voter contact infrastructure because the state’s is compromised
*
* Fielding calls from candidates and county officials who had nowhere else to turn
*
* Staffing the legal and technical work to make the runoff function despite the SOS
*
* Running a full statewide slate into November at the same time

This is all work that would be easier if the SOS could do their jobs. But because we simply refuse to leave voters out in the cold, we’re picking up their slack.

This is what our work looks like when the state abdicates. Abbott runs the Trump playbook — create chaos, withhold resources, make participation harder.

But if we want to take power back for the people of Texas, we don’t get to not show up because the conditions aren’t fair. We work harder.

Just a handful of days to the runoff. If you can chip in, it goes directly toward getting Democrats across the finish line on May 26 and building toward November. [[link removed]]

Thank you!

We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
