Americans are 25% more likely to be killed by gun homicide than in any other developed country. And due to inaction, preventable mass shootings have become commonplace in our society.

We have to act -- that means fighting the NRA and the politicians who have coddled their agenda for years by blocking common-sense gun safety measures.

Over 90% of voters are in support of background checks on all gun sales. However, my opponent John Katko made clear he opposes the measure. And he co-sponsored a law that made it easier to bring concealed handguns into New York state.

This is not a surprise, given that he's taken more than $25,000 from the NRA and gun lobby.

You deserve a Congresswoman who will prioritize your safety. That is why I am dedicated to fighting for universal background checks, repealing the Dickey Amendment, and enacting effective “red flag” laws.

Public support for gun safety measures has never been higher. Yet Republicans continue to hide their heads in the sand and ignore this preventable problem.
