The Republican National Committee (RNC) just called Ayanna “unhinged.”
Why? Because she called for the American people to continue to organize and mobilize to hold the occupant of the White House and Republicans accountable for their attacks on the United States Postal Service, and their efforts to undermine our democracy.
This isn’t just an attack on Ayanna — the RNC is going after our entire movement because they are terrified of people standing up, demanding change, and calling for real action from their elected officials.
It isn’t “unhinged” to demand that every American is able to exercise their Constitutionally-guaranteed right to vote — not to mention ensuring that people can continue to rely on the postal service.
The Heroes Act — which would safeguard our voting systems, support the USPS, and provide millions of Americans with economic relief — has been sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk for months. His failure to even hold a vote on the legislation is a complete abdication of his duties.
The RNC is going to keep attacking Ayanna and our movement, especially as we get closer to the election, because she speaks truth to power about how Republicans are failing our country in this pivotal moment.
Ayanna won’t back down. She’s going to continue to fight for policies that put the American people above corporate special interests.
