Friend,
The Democratic National Convention is kicking off today -- which means we’re one step closer to electing Joe Biden as our next president. During these unprecedented times, we need a leader who will listen to our concerns and build a team who will work for us, not against us.
Donald Trump received a $61 million gift from his dad -- a jumpstart in life that explains why he’s been giving bailouts to corporations and tax cuts to the wealthy during a recession. Only a candidate with working-class roots like Joe Biden can lead us out of a recession that Trump has exacerbated.
Building off a lifelong career of fighting for working people, Biden will fight for a $15 minimum wage, widespread free college, and eliminating student debt for working- and middle-class families. We can trust Biden to help regular people while forcing CEOs and wealthy corporations to pay their fair share.
In the face of a crisis, we need to elect Joe Biden to lead our country: [link removed]
As we’ve been calling for structural change, Joe Biden has been listening. Already, he has adopted progressive plans, worked closely with Bernie Sanders and social movement leaders, and asked young activists to keep pushing him to go further on the issues they care about when he is president.
When we elect Joe Biden as president, we won’t only be electing a leader who will elevate our voices. We’ll also be electing a leader who has pledged to build an administration filled with progressive leaders, experts, and activists. Choosing Kamala Harris as his vice president is only Biden’s first step to creating a team of leaders who will fight for us.
Pledge to vote for a leader who will listen to young people and work with progressive activists who care about us: [link removed]
In solidarity,
