The Supreme Court’s recent decision to gut the Voting Rights Act is already having catastrophic consequences across the country – and it’s threatening to shake things up at home in California too.

NATIONALLY: This decision makes it easier for states to dilute minority voting power by drawing racially discriminatory maps that are near-impossible to challenge in court.

IN CALIFORNIA: It threatens to erase decades of growth for minority communities, especially Latino, Black, and Asian‑Americans.

IN MY DISTRICT: It opens the door to a complete redistricting that could destroy our majority-minority status, silence minority voters, and ensure Republican rule for decades to come.
