[1]Women's March

This is blatant corruption, John.

Trump just openly admitted that he’s defunding the postal service because
he doesn't want it to be used for mail-in voting this November.

[ [link removed] ][IMG]This is Trump’s attempt to sabotage the election and
disenfranchise millions of voters. If Congress doesn’t act immediately to
fund the USPS, people’s lives and our democracy will grind to a halt.

Speaker Pelosi is calling upon the House to return to session this weekend
to vote on a bill that would prevent any changes or delays to the postal
service. We need the House and Senate to pass this bill immediately and to
demand the resignation of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

[ [link removed] ]Will you send a message to Congress right now demanding that they pass
the Delivering for America Act to protect the USPS and push for the
resignation of Postmaster General DeJoy?

Stop Trump’s voter suppression »

Trump thinks he can get away with manipulating another election in his
favor, but we’re ready to fight. We’re planning a creative action to
deliver these petitions directly to the source on Friday, and joining our
partners for a national day of action this Saturday, August 22nd to
#SavethePostOffice.

This is a huge moment for all of us to rise up for our democracy. Stay
tuned for how you can join in.

Not only are we calling for immediate funding for the USPS, we’re
demanding the resignation of Louis DeJoy – a Trump campaign mega-donor who
took over as Postmaster General on June 15.

During his tenure, Mr. DeJoy has eliminated employee overtime and removed
mail sorting machines to slow down the mail service before November. He’s
donated $1.2 million to the Trump campaign and has investments in
companies that compete with the USPS.^1 His allegiance is to Trump, not
our democracy and the institution he’s supposed to lead.

[ [link removed] ]Congress must act now to remove Mr. DeJoy and secure the funding that
the USPS needs so that everyone can vote safely this November and have
their vote counted.

No one should have to choose between their health and their vote. Despite
Trump’s propaganda on Twitter, there is no evidence that vote-by-mail
leads to election fraud of any kind.

Not only does our democracy depend on mail-in voting, but millions of
people rely on the USPS to receive medications they need to survive. An
82-year-old man in Texas was left without heart medication for a week due
to USPS delays.^2 This is unacceptable.

We will not rest.
