John -- Primary season isn’t quite over. Tomorrow Jen Perelman takes on former DNC chair and incumbent Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Florida’s 23rd district!
Wasserman Schultz became notorious in 2016 after emails were leaked that showed the DNC leadership favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders as the Democratic nominee, and actively working to suppress Bernie’s rise. Many have heard about Wasserman Schultz’ roles in undermining Bernie’s campaign in 2016, but Jen Perelman is challenging her because of SO MUCH more.
One critical difference: Wasserman Schultz STILL favors the ACA and undermines Medicare for All, despite overwhelming public support for a single payer system. Her government website uses all-too familiar words like, “affordable,” “accessable,” and “bipartisan.” We can no longer accept the half-measures of the ACA. We need people like Jen Perelman, people who believe that healthcare is a human right.
This cycle alone Debbie has taken in nearly $300,000 in corporate PAC dollars. We aren’t afraid to challenge incumbents like Wasserman Schultz. Can you contribute $10 today to help us unseat corrupt corporate incumbents?
Jen’s primary isn’t the last. We still have three more primaries to go! On September 1st, Alex Morse will face 30-year incumbent Richard Neal, for MA-01. Ihssane Leckey will be vying for Joe Kennedy’s open seat in MA-04. And on September 15th, Jessica Scarane is challenging notoriously corrupt Chris Coons for his U.S. Senate seat in Delaware.
There are ONLY four weeks until the final 2020 primaries. This is our last chance to unseat more do-nothing Democrat incumbents in critical races. Then we pour everything we’ve got into our SIX candidates who are challenging Trumpian Republicans.
Every vote and every seat matters as we fight to overcome the impacts of Covid and the inequalities that have led millions of Americans to suffer for generations. Can you contribute $10 today to help us prepare for this monumental effort?
For a Brand New Congress,
