John,
The scale of Donald Trump’s war on the US Postal Service has come into clear focus:
First, Trump spent months refusing to provide necessary emergency funding for the USPS. Then, he installed a conservative mega-donor as Postmaster General who slashed delivery hours and cut overtime for mail carriers.
Now, Trump’s Postmaster General is removing mailboxes across the country and decommissioning hundreds of the sorting machines that help our mail get delivered on time.
Trump himself has said he won’t provide funding for the Post Office because it would help mail-in voting. So, it’s on us and Democrats in Congress to act right now to save the USPS and the election.

Nancy Pelosi has called members of the House back into session this week specifically to investigate what Trump is doing to the USPS, but an investigation is not enough.
Millions of Americans are relying on our mail carriers to get essential goods like food and medication in the midst of a global pandemic. And we’re counting on the Postal Service to be able to safely cast our ballots by mail this fall.
Democrats in Congress must use every tool at their disposal to save the Post Office and protect the integrity of our election.
It’s clear Trump is willing to do anything to stay in power, including destroy the US Postal Service and jeopardize the health and safety of millions of people. We can’t let him.

Thank you for raising your voice right now. The USPS is essential to our democracy. We cannot let it fail.
