Tom McClintock is already starting to sweat. He's releasing desperate attack ads -- far earlier in the election cycle than he has with his previous opponents. He's spending more time on cable news, posing for in-district photo ops. He's even sending out pseudo campaign mailings at taxpayer expense.

The fact is, his concerns are well-founded. Polling shows that Brynne is closing in on all sides and defining the clear choice in this race. Even though McClintock has been running for offices for 40 years, she outraised him 2-to-1 last quarter. But to defeat an entrenched incumbent like McClintock in November, we cannot afford to let up.
