John, I woke up yesterday to a New York Times piece about my opponent Bob Good rallying folks against a state law that bans discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Promoting division and hatred doesn't address our healthcare crisis. It isn't going to create economic opportunities for the folks struggling right now in our district.
Bob Good fundamentally misjudges the people of VA-05. Hate won't win here; protecting our equality will.
All of this — and so much more — is on the ballot this year. If you can, please make a donation to help make sure that we prevail.
The contrast between the campaigns Bob Good and I are running couldn't be more clear. While I'm engaging with folks about healthcare, education, jobs, and the changes we need to make to be a more equitable society, he's trying to divide us along "culture war" lines.
John, the people I know in this district's communities aren't interested in discriminating against their neighbors, colleagues, friends, and family. They want to see progress. And I'm running to be their advocate in Congress.
Please donate to help us show that hate won't win here.
Thank you,
