Dear A.,

A new
[link removed]
report today from Israel's Civil Commission on October 7th Crimes by Hamas Against Women and Children details previously untold horrors perpetrated by Hamas, including deliberate and systematic sexual violence against Israeli victims.

The deeply disturbing report is the most comprehensive body of evidence yet documenting how Hamas terrorists sought "to maximize pain and suffering" through:
-
Rape and gang rape,

-
Sexual torture and mutilation,

-
Executions linked to sexual violence,

-
Postmortem sexual abuse,

-
And sexual assaults carried out in the presence of family members.
Based on the evidence found in the report (

key highlights here ), the Commission demonstrates that Hamas' atrocities constituted war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocidal acts under international law.

As horrifying as the report is to read, efforts to document the atrocities committed by Hamas remain essential, especially as extremists' voices seek to minimize the horrors of October 7 and even attempt to portray the victims as the perpetrators.

Survivors of Hamas' atrocities speak out about the horrors they endured.

The release of this very painful and thorough report today led many to speculate that a despicable opinion piece in yesterday’s New York Times was timed to distract attention from the exhaustive report of Hamas’ atrocities.

In a piece that fails journalistic standards, Nicholas Kristof asserted that Israel trained dogs to sexually assault Palestinian prisoners. His sources include anonymous individuals, people tied to Hamas, and a teacher with past accusations of sending inappropriate photos to minors.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Ministry have condemned the outrageous accusations in the piece. Haviv Rettig Gur also posted a

thoughtful piece on X and the

Voters in Nebraska and West Virginia head to the polls today, with five AIPAC-endorsed candidates on the ballot who will look to join the more than 70 AIPAC-backed candidates who have won their primaries so far.

Next week, on May 19, AIPAC-endorsed former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein seeks to unseat one of the most anti-Israel members of Congress, Rep. Thomas Massie.

The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
