[2]National Nurses United

We have good news.

Saturday, August 22, is our national day of action for Medicare for All,
and there’s a socially distanced event happening near you.

We’re in the midst of a public health crisis, and we need to show massive
public support for guaranteed, free health care for all. Our current
system is failing to protect nurses and patients – millions of whom have
lost their employer-based health care when they need it most.

For this action,
attendees will be asked to make a sign in support of Medicare for All, and
then meet up (socially distanced) in a highly visible area like a street
corner or overpass to take a photo and demonstrate support to the
community.

After you sign up, the volunteer host of this action will reach out to you
before the action to give further instructions and touch base. All of
these actions will be done while practicing social distancing and public
health guidelines.

Before the day of your event, [ [link removed] ]please take the time to review the safety
guidelines we developed in response to recent uprisings against racial
injustice to ensure that the Day of Action event is as safe as possible.

This Medicare for All event is one of dozens of volunteer-led events
happening across the country to demonstrate the strength of our movement
and call on our representatives in Congress to act.

Recent polling shows that 69% of voters support Medicare for All. We are
the majority, but we need to be more vocal and visible to demand the
support of our leaders. These actions are key to showing our collective
power and growing our movement.

Thanks for joining us in the fight for health care justice.
