Dear John,

I have some great news to share with you. After years of waiting in captivity, Little White and Little Grey have finally made it back to the sea. ([link removed])

These two whales spent years being exploited in an aquarium in China. In 2014 Freedom for Animals launched a campaign for their freedom, targetting the owners of the aquarium, UK company SEA LIFE and their parent company Merlin Entertainments.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of animal advocates like you, the company gave into pressure and set them free from the aquarium.

Now, finally, these two whales are living in a sanctuary in Iceland and have been released back into the sea ([link removed]) . They arrived at the sanctuary last year and have spent a year in the indoor care pool there, preparing for their release. They will now live out their days in a specially built sea pen in a sheltered bay, as close to freedom as is possible for these two whales who spent far too long in captivity.

Read the amazing, and tragic, story of these two whales here:

Finally these two whales are back in the salty sea and can see all the underwater wonders. Something they have not experienced since they were babies. They can explore the sea bed, covered in rocks and plant life, and see the other animals who naturally live in the bay like fish, crabs and so many others. Their world will be so much more enriched than the barren tank they have left behind them.

And that is all thanks to you. You and the other advocates who have fought hard for these whales and called for an end to their exploitation.

Thank you!

Victories like this take a lot of work and determination from our activist community, and should be celebrated! For every donation you make to fund campaigns, to every petition you sign, protest you attend or story you share with others, everything brings us closer to a world where animals are free.

Thank you for all you do for animals.

P.S. Please read and share this amazing news! Give someone a happy start to their week :) ([link removed])

These two whales are now living a life free from exploitation. No longer will they have to perform shows to screaming crowds in an aquarium.

But sadly there are many more animals who are still suffering every day. And they need your help too.

Please will you fuel the fight for their freedom by joining us today as a Freedom Champion? ([link removed])

Our special group of Freedom Champions make a monthly donation to crucial campaigns like this one. Campaigns that fight for animals trapped in captivity, exploited for human entertainment.
