So yesterday the Supreme Court kicked the can down the road for a second time and is now WAITING 'TIL THURSDAY to rule on whether they will allow the Fifth Circuit decision to remain in place or temporarily lift it. This is the ruling that bans sending the abortion pill, mifepristone, through the mail. This is not a reprieve, this is just extending the confusion and chaos.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court will either allow mifepristone to continue to be sent through the mail OR put the Fifth Circuit’s ban back in effect as this case weaves its way through the courts.
This is NOT about the safety or efficacy of mifepristone. Together with the drug misoprostol, it has been the FDA approved abortion pill protocol for 26 years. It has gone through hundreds of studies, is 98% effective, AND is safer than many of the headache medications you will need to take after reading this.

It is also important to note that whatever happens Thursday, both medications are STILL legal and available online and in clinic.

But you need the full story. This Fifth Circuit ruling is just ONE piece of a coordinated strategy to take mifepristone off the market entirely.

* The FDA is currently using a bogus study invented by an anti-abortion think tank to assess how and if mifepristone will remain on the market.
* In tandem with that, there are active cases in Florida, Texas, and Missouri challenging the FDA's original approval of mifepristone and seeking to eliminate access to the drug entirely, NATIONWIDE.
* Almost 200 Senators and members of Congress want to implement The Comstock Act , an 150-year-old law STILL ON THE BOOKS that bans mailing anything related to abortion care.

The goal isn't to win one case. It's to make abortion — and eventually birth control — inaccessible by every available method.
