Pete Hegseth just said that he referred Senator Mark Kelly to Pentagon lawyers for allegedly disclosing classified information on CBS's Face the Nation.
And, you know what Senator Kelly said? A quote from Pete Hegseth himself, who said the exact same thing during a public appearance.
What did Forrest Gump say that reminds us of this? “Stupid is as stupid does.”
Hegseth did not just try to prosecute Senator Kelly for something he said, but he also confirmed that what they are saying is true. And, when you are at war with another country, maybe it is not the best idea to confirm to the enemy that we are running out of ammunition.
The incompetence runs deep in this administration.
The GOP has become the party of incompetence at the federal, state, and local level.
