The McClatchy Media California editorial board endorsed Katie Porter for
governor after conducting interviews with every major Democratic candidate
and Republican Steve Hilton. They called her “by far the most impressive”
out of all the candidates.

That endorsement represents five major California newspapers: The
Sacramento Bee, The Modesto Bee, The Fresno Bee, Merced Sun-Star, and The
San Luis Obispo Tribune.

And what put Katie over the top?
Her agenda. Plain and simple.

Katie understands the challenges working families face because she’s lived
them herself.

She’s a single mom of three. She drives an old minivan. She knows what it
feels like to worry about rising costs, shrinking budgets, and not having
enough breathing room at the end of the month.

Katie isn’t running to protect billionaires or corporate interests. She’s
running to lower costs, take on Big Oil and corporate greed, and fight for
the people who are getting squeezed every single day.

That’s why this endorsement matters so much. It proves that when voters
hear Katie’s message, they respond to it.

primary election is just three weeks away.
