Andy Jassy on a stage. Behind him, the words "Andy Jassy President and CEO, Amazon" are visible on a big screen.

John,

Amazon just got caught rigging its own shareholder meeting.

The board quietly blocked three shareholder proposals – including one backed by over 30 institutional investors demanding Amazon investigate whether its billion-dollar contracts with the Israeli military and ICE comply with its own policies.

They didn’t debate them. They didn’t reject them publicly. They buried them. And hoped no one was paying attention.

We were.

We know the names of the board members responsible – Jamie Gorelick. Jon Rubinstein. Andrew Ng. Patricia Stonesifer – and in less than 14 days they face Amazon’s annual shareholder meeting. It’s their biggest moment of public exposure all year. We need to make the most of it.

Investors are already moving to remove these directors. Amazon’s own workers are speaking out.

Our part now is to come in full-force and put these board members in front of every investor, journalist, and Amazon customer we can reach. Until their name is synonymous with corruption. But we need your help to make it happen.

Here’s what makes this worse. This year, 71% of shareholder proposals across the US are proceeding to a vote – the highest rate in five years. When other companies like PepsiCo tried to block proposals, investors sued, and they backed down. Amazon did it anyway

That’s not a mistake. That’s a choice. And it’s up to us to show them real consequences

Amazon's board has spent years betting that ordinary people wouldn't bother learning who actually sits at the top. That anonymity is their armour — and we're about to strip it away.

What we do between now and the annual meeting will make all the difference. We’re mapping their networks, identifying their pressure points, and making sure the people who can influence them know exactly who they are and what they’ve done

We’ve done this before. Our community helped turn the spotlight on Microsoft's deadly military contracts, and the company's reputation took a battering it still hasn't recovered from. Behind every powerful corporation are real individuals who care deeply about how they're seen. When we shine a light on those individuals — loudly, publicly, at exactly the right moment — things change.

This is that moment for Amazon.

We’re a lean team – every dollar goes where it counts. Your help now could make it possible for us to finally hold Amazon’s board accountable – and show corporate boards everywhere that we’re watching and ready to act.

Amazon’s annual meeting is just days away. This window to strike won’t be open for long. Can we count on you?
