Team—

UPDATE: We expected a decision tonight in Louisiana v. FDA following the one-week stay that Justice Alito issued last week. We've just heard that the Supreme Court has extended the stay until Thursday at 5 PM EDT.

We know that Mifepristone is safe and effective, and for now it is still widely available. We will follow up with you later this week as we have more news.

Thank you for staying in the fight! [[link removed]]

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM LOUISIANA 🚨
Dear Team,
The fight to protect abortion access has just reached the Supreme Court. [[link removed]]
TEAM—FIGHT BACK [[link removed]]
Last week, the Fifth Circuit sided with Louisiana and reinstated an outdated, medically unnecessary requirement that mifepristone be dispensed in person—threatening access by mail and at pharmacies nationwide. This morning, the Court temporarily agreed to stay the ruling until next Monday. But this fight is far from over.
Medication abortion accounts for more than 60% of abortions in the U.S. each year. Since Roe was overturned, telehealth abortion requests have doubled. For people in rural areas—hours from the nearest clinic—it was a lifeline.
PROTECT MIFE [[link removed]]
More than 7.5 million people have used it safely. Hundreds of studies back it. [[link removed]] Restricting mifepristone is not about safety—it's about making abortion as difficult, expensive, and unreachable as possible.
DEFEND ABORTION CARE [[link removed]]
Extremists are stripping away reproductive freedom piece by piece: criminalizing care, intimidating doctors, and forcing patients to navigate a cruel maze of bans and restrictions. [[link removed]]
We refuse to accept it.
For decades, the Center for Reproductive Rights has been challenging coordinated attacks on your health care in courtrooms across the country, at every level. [[link removed]]
This fight is no different. But stopping these attacks requires sustained legal action, and our ability to fight and win depends on people like you. Stay with us—we'll keep you updated as things unfold. In solidarity,
Center for Reproductive Rights
