Friend,

Last week inside the Tennessee State Capitol was one of the most difficult and revealing weeks I have experienced in public service.

Many Tennesseans watched in disbelief as those in power once again chose politics over people. Instead of addressing the rising cost of living, struggling small businesses, failing healthcare access, underfunded public schools, or the childcare crisis facing working families, we witnessed yet another attempt to manipulate the rules and consolidate political power.

For many of us, it was emotional.

Not simply because of the policies being pushed, but because of what it represented.

It represented a government becoming more comfortable silencing voices than listening to them.

It represented a legislature more focused on protecting political advantage than protecting the people of Tennessee.

And for so many Tennesseans who already feel unheard, unseen, and left behind, last week sent a painful message about whose voices matter — and whose do not.

But I need you to know something:

We are not giving up.

Not now.
Not after last week.
Not after everything our communities have endured.

The truth is, they would not be working this hard to change rules, redraw maps, and control outcomes if your voice and your vote did not matter.  Chip in today and help us continue the fight for Tennessee’s future. <[link removed]>

They matter deeply.

And that is exactly why we must continue organizing, educating, mobilizing, and fighting forward together.

I have always believed that Tennessee can be better than what we witnessed last week. I still believe there are more people in this state who want fairness over fear, unity over division, and opportunity over oppression.

But we cannot meet this moment alone.

Your contribution today will help us continue building the infrastructure necessary to fight for working families, defend voting rights, support Democratic candidates across Tennessee, and hold those in power accountable for the decisions they make under the people's Capitol dome.

Whether you can give $25, $50, $100, or more, every contribution helps us continue this work.  Click here to donate today. Stand with Tennessee. <[link removed]>

This is not simply about politics anymore.

It is about protecting democracy, dignity, and the future of Tennessee itself.

I am asking you personally to stand with us.

Because history has shown us that when ordinary people come together with courage and conviction, no amount of power can permanently silence the truth.

Thank you for standing with me.
Thank you for standing with Tennessee.

With gratitude and determination,

Hon. Karen Camper
