The Supreme Court has issued a major 6-3 decision which effectively

Dear Fellow American,

The SUPREME COURT has issued a major 6-3 decision which effectively
prohibits the use of race to create “majority-minority”
congressional districts:

THIS IS A GREAT DECISION FOR DEMOCRACY AND AFFIRMS THAT THE U.S.
CONSTITUTION REQUIRES GOVERNMENT TO BE COLOR-BLIND IN ITS
DECISION-MAKING.

HELP JUDICIAL WATCH FIGHT
RACE-BASED GERRYMANDERING

JUDICIAL WATCH was proud to partner with the Allied Educational
Foundation (AEF) in filing a key _amici_ brief (friend of the court)
in support of this historic decision.

Together, we argued:

_Racial gerrymandering, like all “[r]acial classifications of any
sort” cause “lasting harm to our society” because “[t]hey
reinforce the belief, held by too many for too much of our history,
that individuals should be judged by the color of their skin.”_

_“There should be no question that race-based division...is a
violation of the Equal Protection Clause”_

In his concurring opinion, Justice Thomas agreed stating:

_“Blacks [we]re drawn into ‘black districts’ and given ‘black
representatives’... That interpretation rendered (Section 2)
“repugnant to any nation that strives for the ideal of a color-blind
Constitution.”_

THIS LANDMARK RULING PUTS AN END TO THE EGREGIOUS RACIAL SEGREGATION
OF VOTERS...BUT NOW IT MUST BE ENFORCED.

Judicial Watch stands ready to do our part to enforce this decision
and defend equal protection under the law.

But these fights will require financial muscle.

HELP US ENFORCE THIS RULING

This is not theoretical for Judicial Watch.

WE KNOW HOW TO FIGHT BACK (AND WIN) AGAINST ILLEGAL GERRYMANDERING.

It was Judicial Watch’s lawsuit which resulted in Maryland’s 2021
congressional redistricting plan being struck down as violating state
law.

And just earlier this year, Judicial Watch pointed out that
Maryland’s proposed 2026 congressional map was in key respects
identical to the unconstitutional gerrymander struck down in our prior
lawsuit — but even more partisan.

Our election law team knows these _schemes _and the _loopholes _the
Left will attempt to exploit.

And, we know how to fight them.

Thank you for considering a first-time gift to Judicial Watch to fund
this fight for equal protection under the law.

Sincerely,

Tom Fitton
President, Judicial Watch

P.S. Judicial Watch’s position was just vindicated by the Supreme
Court in a major decision against race-based gerrymandering. The Court
agreed with our argument that government must be color-blind in its
decision-making.

BUT NOW THIS DECISION MUST BE ENFORCED. Please make your best
tax-deductible gift [[link removed]] today
to help Judicial Watch enforce this important victory.
