This week is the Democratic National Convention where we will officially nominate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the next President and Vice President of the United States. I'm ready to elect this phenomenal team, and I know this team has the experience and steadiness to lead from day one.

The lineup for this week's Convention is historic and I can't wait to be a part of this. The Convention is a little different with a global pandemic, but it is no less important. It's even more important because this year's election is the most consequential election we'll see in our lifetime.

This is the week we show the American people what we stand for as a party. What we are made of as a party. What our core values are.

While I won't be traveling to Milwaukee, I'll be participating in virtual events for Connecticut like a panel discussion on building a more fair and equal economy with my good friend Rep. Rosa DeLauro (sign up here) and a discussion with the Maine Democratic Party about legislation we worked on in the House this year and the importance of taking back the Senate (sign up here).
