** Help us reform RE in Wales, and across the UK

Hello,

Legislation to overhaul religious education (religion, values & ethics or RVE) in Wales is continuing its progress. This is an historic moment that could make Wales the UK's leading nation when it comes to inclusive and critically-informed education about worldviews and their impact on society. You can read more about how we're campaigning to improve the proposals here.

** We need your help

Unfortunately, the proposals fall short in some respects and religious interests are calling for further concessions. This could mean faith schools wouldn't have to offer pluralistic RVE and reduce coverage of topics like secularism and non-religious worldviews.

** If you live in Wales

We've set up a dedicated campaign page with a template letter to write to your Senedd members and information on the latest consultation, by the Education Committee, which closes on Tuesday 29 September. Don't miss this chance to have your voice heard.

** If you don't live in Wales

We're also asking or all our supporters across the UK for their experiences and views on religious education. This will help inform our response to the consultation and wider work on RE reform across the UK.
