Hi John,

ICYMI, this week brought us a few It Gets Better moments worth ending the weekend with: an important reminder of why this work matters, a visit to a seriously queer college campus, and a couple of special messages from people we love.

First up: You bet your ass it gets better.

Someone asked our Executive Director, Brian Wenke, why he still proudly wears his It Gets Better hat. The answer is direct, hopeful, and pretty fired up. Because that passion and that hope frame everything we do here at It Gets Better.

Did we find the queerest college in the country?

Our Youth Voices Ambassador Ale visited Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where 80% of students identify as LGBTQ+ and 15% are trans. Rural Ohio was not exactly where we expected to find a queer safe haven, but that's also what prompted us to launch our new series, "Queer Spaces in Unexpected Places." Because queer-affirming spaces are everywhere if you know what to look for.

You won't believe who has messages for LGBTQ+ youth this week!

There are few things our audience understands better than finding family in unexpected places. Apparently, that now includes a murder mystery comedy about sheep.

The iconic Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris O'Dowd, and Molly Gordon all star in The Sheep Detectives and shared special It Gets Better messages for LGBTQ+ youth with us. Their reminder is simple, sweet, and they both very much understood the assignment: don’t worry, you’ll find your flock.
