The reaction to our new online ad has been incredible. But there is one specific part of the ad that is really making the D.C. establishment sweat.

The part where I let them know I won’t be answering to either John Thune OR Chuck Schumer. I’ll answer only to the South Dakotans I represent in the Senate.

Look, as a military veteran, I don't want foreign governments telling us what we should do with our military. I was a military prosecutor. I refuse to protect predators, murderers, and war criminals.

I don't want to play golf with the richest men in America. And I don't want to ask Republican or Democratic donors what to think.

Career politicians like Mike Rounds have spent years playing golf with the lobbyists and rubber-stamping the partisan agenda. I’m running as an Independent to call balls and strikes, and to put an end to the waste and corruption.
