John, Exciting news: MAGA Republican Rep. Jeff Crank (yes that’s his name) was just added to the DCCC’s Red to Blue target list. We can now expect significant reinforcements for our grassroots fight to defeat Jeff Crank and elect a pro-democracy Democrat in his place. Months ago, we wrote about how Crank broke a central campaign promise he made in 2024: Crank vowed that he would save U.S. Space Command Headquarters based in the district. Crank went so far as to say the “fight would be on” if Donald Trump tried to move Space Command from Colorado Springs. Then a few months later, Trump abruptly announced he was moving it to Alabama - a red state that he liked more than Colorado which “did not vote for him.” And of course, Crank rolled over for Trump and did nothing in response. When that happened, we pledged retribution for Jeff Crank. And now it looks like the stars are aligning to support our effort to defeat Crank (along with his toxic MAGA colleague Lauren Boebert) this November. Now we have a strong Democratic candidate, DCCC investment, and our team is preparing to target the swing voters that will make or break races like this—the voters who will determine whether Democrats retake the House Majority or remain stuck in the minority.
