When they are more worried about their own stock portfolios than the cost of keeping a roof over your heads, housing remains out of reach. When utility companies spend millions on lobbying, your monthly bills increase.

In Northern California, we have been written off for too long. It's not an accident. It's by design.

I am running for Congress because we cannot fix our economy until we fix the system that rigs the rules against us. My Anti-Corruption Agenda is built on a simple principle: people, not politics.

* Ban stock trading for members of Congress and their immediate families.
* End the revolving door by banning former members of Congress from becoming lobbyists.
* Overturn Citizens United so that voters, not dark money, decide our elections.
* Stop the abuse of public funds by enforcing serious penalties for politicians who use campaign cash for luxury perks.

The old political class protects power. I am here to protect people.
