Hey John, it's Marc Elias. If you're going to read any email
from me, let it be this one.

In a 6‑3 decision, the Supreme Court kneecapped the Voting Rights Act.
This decision is intellectually dishonest, wrong, and overrides
decades‑old civil rights law.

States are now permitted to draw district lines to erase the votes of
minority voters ‑‑ with zero consequences. As Justice Elena Kagan said
in her powerful dissent, this ruling is the "demolition of the Voting
Rights Act."

[ [link removed] ]To put a check on Republicans and fight for voting rights, it's more
important than ever that we flip the Senate. Please, chip in
$7 to the DSCC now to help win in November to prevent
further damage and hold Trump and his cronies accountable.

The Republican Senate majority will certainly cheer this ruling ‑‑ so we
have no choice but to take power away from them.

Luckily, the DSCC is on the front lines of the fight to flip the Senate.
And in the wake of this shameful decision, it's crucial that we stop
Trump's far‑right judges from being confirmed and changing even more
laws.

[ [link removed] ]I know this is a scary time,
John ‑‑ but right now the best
thing we can do is chip in $7 to the DSCC to help take
back the majority. This is our first line of defense against Trump's
abuses, so please stand with me. >>
