Dear John,
On Tuesday, May 12th, many of Delaware’s 19 school districts will hold elections for local school board members.
While these elections may not always receive the same attention as statewide or national races, school boards make important decisions that directly impact Delaware students, families, teachers, and communities. From budgets and curriculum to policies and long-term district priorities, these boards help shape the future of public education in the First State.
Several races across Delaware are highly contested, with significant issues at stake for their districts. Click here [[link removed]] to view the districts with contested races.
To vote in a school board election, you do not need to be a registered voter. You simply must:
* Be 18 years of age or older, and
* Live within the school district where you are voting.

Thank you for making your voice heard, and please encourage your friends, neighbors, and family members to vote as well.
