Redistricting reform will help folks elect leaders who will pass popular initiatives like expanding Medicaid.

Friend -- Voters in Missouri passed a ballot initiative a couple weeks ago to expand Medicaid by outmaneuvering complicit and unaccountable politicians.

"When you take the labels off of the policies... and just start asking people whether or not you think low-income families should have access to Medicaid coverage, the support is overwhelming."
-- Rachel Nuzum, health policy expert of the Commonwealth Fund

But -- if Missouri had a truly representative legislature, elected leaders would have taken action to provide health coverage and access as the majority of voters demanded much earlier.

Gerrymandering stood in the way -- until Missourians took matters into their own hands. In fact, they did the same thing by passing a redistricting reform ballot initiative in 2018 that politicians are now trying to dismantle. If we're able to defend redistricting reform across the country, policies like the Medicaid expansion we just saw in Missouri would be just a sneak peek of what we will see passed in the coming decade.

But time is running out to stop attacks on redistricting reform before maps are drawn in 2021. Can we count on you to support our work to protect reform from politicians who are desperate to hang onto their power to manipulate maps?

Folks in gerrymandered states are ready for change. District distorters know this.

It's why Missouri politicians are trying to reverse the redistricting reform that had bipartisan support from over 60% of Missouri voters. If they're successful, they're setting the stage so legislators can stifle progress and ignore the will of the people for years. It's why All On The Line is committed to contributing $50,000 to organizations on the ground who are trying to preserve redistricting reform passed in 2018 in the state.

This is exactly the kind of financial support our grassroots donors help fund, friend. Help us continue to aid groups on the frontlines of the fight for fair maps who face attacks from politicians determined to reverse reform!
