As children prepare to go back to school, many parents are still grappling with an uncertain economy, looming evictions and foreclosures, and a lack of access to the affordable child care they need to make ends meet during the COVID-19 crisis.
The opportunities that allowed my sister and me to grow up healthy, get a quality education, and serve our country in the military are under attack by the Trump administration. Meanwhile, South and West Texas families are being disproportionately affected by the health and economic implications of this pandemic.
Even in these uncertain times, my GOP opponents support dismantling the Affordable Care Act, which would leave thousands in TX-23 uninsured during a pandemic. They're so worried about impressing Washington Republicans and getting financial support from far-right mega-donors and special interest groups that they've lost sight of what it means to serve the people of South and West Texas.
We simply can’t let them win if we want to see this community made whole again. Can you donate today to help me flip the most competitive district in the country once and for all?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
My opponents aren’t looking out for people like you and me.
They're on the side of the Trump administration that wants to gut the ACA and remove protections for people with pre-existing conditions—during a public health and economic crisis.
They're on the side of corporate lobbyists and special interest groups that put profit over the well-being and survival of the American people.
They're on the side of big banks ready to kick millions of families out on the streets as soon as the eviction moratorium is lifted.
After all that TX-23 has been through, we can’t afford to let them win. Will you donate whatever you can on behalf of Texas families who desperately need better representation in Washington?
