Bad news, John:
Earlier today, the Virginia Supreme Court invalidated the will of the voters and struck down our new Congressional maps. This is a terrible blow to our democracy.
Today’s decision is outrageous and unconscionable. More than three million Virginians made their voices heard at the ballot box and voted to level the playing field against Republican gerrymandering. The margin for YES was unambiguous.
Now, the conservative politicians in robes have ruled against the will of the voters. Enough.
Republicans may try to rig maps in their favor. They may desperately try to hold onto their fleeting power. No matter what they do, we’re going to flip the House blue and hold them accountable — because that’s the will of the voters.
And it starts with holding this seat.
