Dear John,
I’ve been thinking a lot about what last Friday night represents.
At our First State Dinner, we gathered with leaders like President Joe Biden, Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, and Vice Chair of the DNC, Representative Malcom Kenyatta, but what stayed with me most wasn’t who was in the room. It was why we were there.
We were there because we believe in something bigger than ourselves.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for bringing your energy, your belief, and your sense of purpose into that space. And to those who couldn’t be there, please know this: you are part of this community just the same. This work belongs to all of us.
What we felt that night was a reminder that even in uncertain times, people are still choosing hope. Still choosing community. Still choosing to show up for one another.
That’s what the Delaware Democratic Party is at its core.
It’s neighbors organizing neighbors. It’s volunteers giving their time because they believe in a better future. It’s the quiet, steady work of making sure every voice is heard and every voter is reached.
Moments like Friday night don’t happen on their own. They are built, day by day, person by person, by people like you.
And the work continues.
In the months ahead, we will be called to do what Democrats have always done at our best: protect what matters, expand opportunity, and stand up for the idea that in this country, power belongs to the people.
If you’re able to support that work, there are two meaningful ways to stay involved:
Chip in to help power our organizing and outreach:
DONATE TO DDP [[link removed]]
Or give your time and be part of the work on the ground:
VOLUNTEER WITH DDP [[link removed]]
But just as important: stay connected. Stay engaged. Keep showing up in whatever way you can. That is how we build something lasting.
Friday night was a celebration. What comes next is the work.
And I am grateful to be in it with you.
With hope,
Evelyn Brady
