Dear A.,
Last night, Iranian forces launched an attack, using multiple missiles, drones, and small boats, on U.S. Navy ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. forces intercepted the attack by Iran and responded by striking "Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking U.S. forces, including missile and drone launch sites; command and control locations; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance nodes," CENTCOM

Following the incident, President Trump

said that the strikes on Iran were "just a love tap" and that the ceasefire remains in place. "There was no damage done to the three Destroyers," he added, saying, the ships, "with their wonderful Crews, will now rejoin our Naval Blockade."
The blockade is currently preventing more than 70 tankers from entering or leaving Iranian ports,

blocking an estimated $13 billion in illicit oil revenue from flowing to the regime.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to launch attacks against Gulf Arab states. Following last night's thwarted attack on U.S. forces in the Strait of Hormuz, the UAE Ministry of Defense

Axios reported that the United States is expecting to receive Iran's response to the latest negotiating proposal some time today. The Trump administration is also looking to

Hamas fractured but rebuilding; IDF dismantles more tunnels
Today, in his daily newsletter, It's Noon in Israel, Amit Segal discussed how Hamas is
[link removed]
divided into three factions : "those who want to die as martyrs, those who do not want to die as martyrs, and those who want to buy time without the population rebelling against them."
"The pressure is heavy, backs are against the wall, international isolation is worsening — all that remains is for Hamas to be convinced as well," he adds.
Despite this fracture, Lilach Shoval, Israel Hayom's military correspondent,

reports on how Hamas has continued to rebuild since the ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, using humanitarian aid shipments into the Strip to smuggle in materials.
At least two recent shipments found that "banned materials had been hidden under the guise of food and approved humanitarian equipment... In practice, the ceasefire has not only failed to stop Hamas, it has given the organization breathing room to deepen its renewed entrenchment and buildup. The terrorist organization in the Strip is exploiting the delay in implementing the second stage of the agreement as a 'window of opportunity' to rebuild and rearm."

Meanwhile, Israel continues its operations to

dismantle the terror group and its infrastructure in Gaza.
Earlier today, the IDF destroyed eight tunnels, spanning more than a mile-and-a-half, one of which was part of the "underground terrorist infrastructure network in eastern Rafah, where Hamas terrorists had been operating were eliminated during an engineering activity conducted by the IDF troops inside the tunnel."
