We want to talk about some common myths about the midterms, in case this is what is holding you back from chipping in to help elect Democrats right now.

Myth 1: “We won so many races in 2025. Of course we’ll win big in the midterms.”

Fact: Our candidates have won or overperformed in 266 out of 297 key elections since 2025. However, we can’t take that momentum for granted. There is a lot of on-the-ground energy behind Democratic candidates, but Republicans have hundreds of millions at their disposal — money they’ll use to attack Democrats running at all levels.

Myth 2: “It’s better to wait to donate until more candidates are done with primaries.”

Fact: The earlier you donate, the greater impact you will have on November’s elections — full stop. Contributing today will help us ensure any Democratic nominee has the resources they’ll need to reach voters after the primary is over.

Myth 3: “My donation won't make a difference.”

Fact: More than 90% of the DNC’s funding comes from grassroots supporters just like you, chipping in what they can, when they can, to support causes that matter to them.
