The Libertarian Party is on track to spend $1.25 million on ballot access in 2028 alone.

For a party raising around $3 million a year , that’s nearly half of our budget going toward one thing, just getting on the ballot.

Candidates feel it too.

Libertarian campaigns have been burning through their resources just to get on and stay on the ballot instead of reaching voters and building momentum for years.

As a part of the Parity Project, [link removed] we’re endorsing Ballots Without Barriers to change that.

Republicans and Democrats have held an unfair advantage over us for decades. Their candidates can just jump in with little, if any, public support, while we have to pay millions just to play.

Libertarians have broadly accepted this is the way the game is played.
It’s time for us to stop accepting that.
There is now a national effort to stop the cycle and put that time, money, and energy back where it belongs - into campaigns that can actually compete.

Ballots Without Barriers was founded by former Libertarian presidential candidate Lars Mapstead after seeing firsthand how broken the system is.
They are building a coalition of parties, activist groups, and the public to drive down the cost of ballot access across the country.
The best part? They’ve already got 10,000 people signed up to help and a bill in Rhode Island.
Here is the plan:
→ Activate 15 states.
→ Pass meaningful reform in at least 3.
