LISTEN: The Intersection of Religion and Abortion Care with Dr. Ivonne McLean
[[link removed]]

Dear John,

The Woman Centered Health Podcast recently interviewed one of our physician advocates, Dr. Ivonne McLean, on the intersection of spirituality, faith, and providing compassionate abortion care.

She reminds us that people of faith have abortions and provide abortions. Listen to the conversation with Dr. McLean on the Women Centered Health Podcast [[link removed]].

“There are millions of people in this world who do not get the care they need. They deserve equitable, judgement free, evidence-based care. And if I can be just a little part of that, then I will do whatever I can to reach that.” -Dr. McLean

Dr. McLean, a family medicine physician in New York City and a graduate of our Leadership Training Academy Class of 2018, facilitates workshops on reproductive justice and racism in medicine.

We’re incredibly thankful to our advocates like Dr. McLean for their openness and honesty, especially around personal conversations about religion and abortion care.

Thank you to the Woman Centered Health Podcast for sharing the unique experiences of reproductive health care providers and about the issues impacting reproductive health care today.

Looking for more episodes? I suggest checking out our Fellow Dr. Jen Villavicencio’s conversation about pregnancy care during the COVID-19 pandemic [[link removed]].

Happy listening!
