Building a generation that chooses conservation. 🌿

GCF is proud to support the Taita Taveta Wildlife Conservancies Association in Kenya. Our partnership brings conservation education to life, moving from the classroom into the heart of Tsavo East National Park.

For many students from the 12 participating schools, this was their first safari. But the impact goes beyond a memory; these students are now implementing waste management solutions and planting fruit trees and vegetables at their schools. 🦒🍏

We aren’t just sharing facts; we’re working together to protect our air, water, and wildlife. 🌍

21 June is World Giraffe Day! John, will you join the celebration?

Dear John

Across Africa, GCF’s education and capacity building programmes continue to show that conservation is about far more than protecting wildlife – it is about empowering people. Whether supporting students experiencing wildlife for the very first time, working alongside teachers and local communities, or building conservation skills with our partners on the ground, we are investing in the people who will shape the future of Africa’s natural heritage.

What inspires me most is seeing how these experiences lead to action. Young people return to their schools and communities motivated to make a difference – planting trees and gardens, improving waste management, and becoming advocates for the environment around them. These may seem like small steps, but together they create meaningful and lasting change for giraffe, wildlife and people alike.

This work is only possible through collaboration, trust and a shared commitment to conservation. Thank you for standing with GCF as a voice for giraffe and for supporting the partnerships and programmes that make this impact possible. And with World Giraffe Day on 21 June just around the corner, there will soon be another wonderful opportunity for all of us to celebrate and support giraffe together.

Warm regards,

Steph Fennessy
