On July 7th, we won because of you.
We celebrated our victory together as a community who values working with each other to find solutions for our everyday problems above all else. I’m honored to represent this District.
During our celebration, the far-right nominated extremist
“Fraudster Frank” Pallotta — the Subprime King of New Jersey. He’s counting on his subprime buddies to funnel dark money into his campaign and flood North Jersey in negative advertising.
Thanks to your continued support, we’re able to counter his attacks, and fight for our shared New Jersey values.
My team and I have spent the past few weeks going over the primary election, this is what we learned:
- Our message is being well-received, and we have strong momentum going into the general! Despite Bernie Sanders and the Squad weighing in on our race, we won 78 of 79 towns in NJ-5.
- Our community is energized by the possibilities of this upcoming election! Voter turnout has almost tripled since 2018 — 82,000 people actively participated in our democracy by turning in their ballots.
- We proved to the country that we can prioritize our health and still vote. New Jersey sent vote-by-mail applications to every registered voter in the state, and the response was monumental. In Bergen County alone, nearly 90% of the vote was cast by mail.
I want to say thank you to every voter — the ones who voted-by-mail and those who took the necessary safety precautions to vote in person (including wearing a mask!) — fulfilling your constitutional right during a pandemic where new challenges appear every day means the world to me.
To those of you who helped organize the New Jersey primary, this election wouldn’t have been possible without your dedication to ensure every voice was heard,
safely.
The summation of everything we learned from the primary is this: we aren’t done yet.
We’re less than 85 days away from the election, and I’m not wasting a single moment.
“Fraudster Frank” Pallotta and his allies are already bombarding NJ-5 with negative advertising. I haven’t backed down from a fight and I’m not starting now.
I know that, together, we can keep providing New Jersey with the leadership it deserves. Thank you for being in this fight with me.
