I’m not going to sugarcoat it: This is devastating.

Democrats cannot take back the House without winning battleground races like mine. Polling shows we’re within INCHES of victory. We have a real shot to defeat Paul LePage, flip this seat, and help end Mike Johnson’s MAGA Majority. BUT Republicans are seeing the same polls we are — and they’re SCRAMBLING to FLOOD this race with cash to drown us out. Herbert, I need you to understand how urgent this is: If we fall short tonight, we risk losing momentum and in a race this close, even one bad fundraising day could be enough to tip the scales toward LePage. It would be GUT-WRENCHING to see this opportunity to flip the House blue slip through our fingers. That’s why I’m begging: I need 375 grassroots gifts before midnight to close this gap and stop Paul LePage from buying the seat that could decide House control. Herbert, will you chip in $15 — or whatever you can spare — before midnight? >>

My least favorite part of this campaign is asking you for money.

I know how hard you work for every dollar.

But this race is one of the most competitive in the ENTIRE country and I know what happens if we fall short: 

Paul LePage goes to Congress.
Trump gets another loyalist in Washington.
Mike Johnson keeps his MAGA Majority.

I can’t let that happen. So I’m giving this everything I have.

I know it would be a devastating mistake to let this historic shot slip through our fingers simply because I didn’t ask for help to fund this campaign.

Because the reality is: I refuse to take a dime of corporate PAC money — meanwhile, LePage’s mega-donors helped him raise a whopping $1.5M to destroy us. 

I hope you can understand. And I hope you’ll take a second to rush $15 to ensure we can bring this win home:

Look, Herbert, Paul LePage, Mike Johnson, and House Republicans have proven time and again that they don’t care about us — they only care about Donald Trump and his billionaire backers.

They want to bury us in cash, flip this seat red, and protect their House Majority so they can keep pushing Trump’s cruel, anti-democracy agenda.

I’m running because we deserve someone who will fight for working people, lower costs, defend our rights, protect our democracy, and stand up to anyone who thinks this seat can be bought.

I’ve dedicated my life to defending our Constitution, stamping out corruption in Washington, and fighting for our fundamental rights — and I have so much more fight left in me.

But I’ll be honest with you: Courage alone will not keep our ads on the air. Determination alone will not pay organizers. Conviction alone will not compete with LePage’s $1.5 MILLION war chest.

This is my least favorite part about running a campaign, but we CANNOT let MAGA money outraising us be the reason we lose.
