As a Montana state legislator and former candidate for Congress I’ve seen firsthand the importance of our public education system. As we grapple with the effects of the pandemic on our children’s safety and education, it has never been more important to have strong leadership in our Office of Public Instruction.

As the 2018 Montana Teacher of the Year - and public school math teacher for 16 years - Melissa is ready to restore leadership to the Office of Public Instruction and stand up for our public schools.

Our students deserve better than an OPI that gets their marching orders from billionaire Betsy DeVos like the current incumbent. We need a teacher for all Montana children in charge of our public education system.

She is running against an incumbent with deep pockets and can't win this without our help. Her team is up against a midnight fundraising deadline and needs to finish strong before her numbers go public. We know she can win this thing.
