Last night, Michigan Democrats proved something powerful: When we organize, we win.
Chedrick Greene just won the most competitive special election in the country by a massive margin. It was a race Republicans and their dark money allies desperately tried to buy because control of the Michigan Senate was on the line.
Voters in Mid-Michigan rejected the Republican playbook of putting corporations and billionaires first while working families struggle with rising costs. Instead, they elected a Marine veteran, firefighter, union member, and public servant who is focused on lowering costs, protecting freedoms, and fighting for working people.

The entire country was watching this race because Michigan is one of the biggest battleground states this year. Together, we proved that even though Republicans poured money into this election, hoping they could break Democratic momentum before November, an unstoppable blue wave is building.
Democrats are over-performing in special elections from Louisiana to Texas to right here in Michigan because voters are fed up with Trump and Republicans making life harder and more expensive for working families.
This victory happened because grassroots supporters came together to help organize on the ground, reach voters, and build turnout across the district. The work that won last night is the same work we need to scale across Michigan heading into November.
