Email from Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation Dear John, Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the women who have shaped our lives. The women who have sacrificed so that we can grow into the people we are today. But for many of us, that celebration is shadowed by a difficult reality: two out of every three people living with Alzheimer’s are women. At ARPF, we believe that the best way to honor our mothers is to protect their futures. Our groundbreaking Pink Brain ProjectTM at UCLA revealed something incredible: women aren't just "at risk" – they are also very resilient. By practicing the 12-minute Kirtan Kriya meditation, women in our study showed improved memory, better sleep, and more robust brain connectivity. Amazing news for women everywhere. This Mother’s Day, we invite you to remember a special woman in your life by dedicating a rose in her name. It's a super easy way to recognize and celebrate your mother or any woman who means so much to you. DEDICATE A ROSE TO MOM Raising awareness for women's brain health is at the forefront of ARPF's work. We are making strides in Alzheimer's Prevention every day. Thank you for being part of this celebration and movement. Yours in Brain Health, Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D. President / Medical Director Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF) www.alzheimersprevention.org
