Migratory Big Game Initiative a win for Wyoming wildlife

Wyoming Game and Fish is celebrating the recent expansion of the USDA Partnership to the Migratory Big Game Initiative. The Initiative was established in 2022 through a Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Wyoming. *The program has expanded to Montana, Idaho, Colorado and is now expanding to Utah. Annual grizzly bear captures to begin in northwest Wyoming

As part of ongoing efforts to monitor grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will conduct *capture operations in areas of northwest Wyoming beginning this spring and continuing through early fall. [ [link removed] ]*

Public comment opening for Game and Fish regulation updates

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has opened a public comment period to gather input on proposed changes to regulations. Details of the reasons for changes, as well as information on how you can make your voice heard can be found on the Game and Fish website. *There will be a series of public meetings, as well as opportunity to submit written or online comments through June 5.
